By far our favorite place on the lake! The worst thing about winter is that they close. Always a fun, laid back atmosphere usually with some good music (on the weekends), good food and great value. This is one of the few places where we can think of where waiting, along the storefront and marina, is almost as enjoyable as the dining experience.
If you haven't been, go! -

We have a slip at Aqualand and so frequently enjoy Pig Tales. We've enjoyed the improvements that have been made over the last two seasons. The food is consistently good. The view and ambiance are top notch.
Yesterday, however, we had a somewhat unfortunate customer service experience. My boyfriend and I joined our friends (group of 5) after they had arrived to dine. We ordered drinks and visited while they finished their meals. They then needed to depart to get their son back to Port Royale. In the meantime, two more of our friends arrived and joined us. We were already sitting at the table and the other couple joined us. The waitress (who had previously taken our drink order while our friends, the party of 5, were there, impatiently cleared the table and said there was a wait for the table, implying that we weren't welcome to remain at the table. Puzzled, we looked around to see (and I counted) 7-8 empty tables. She begrudgingly took our drink order and left. Next, we had a hostess stop by and say the table was on a wait. And then moments later, a manager-type came by to say the same. I understand there is a waitlist but having not one, not two, but three people come by to basically kick you out of a table where you'd been invited to sit with friends and just because they left, then make you feel ridiculously unwelcome, well, it's frankly bizarre. The part that was difficult from a customer perspective is why there were so many empty tables if there was such a lengthy wait. Is it a table management issue? Not enough wait staff?
Bottom line: Don't try to kick people off a table just because the original party left. Worse, don't do that and use a wait as the excuse when you've got multiple open tables. Even if every table had been occupied, why would you kick paying customers off a table just because they had joined an existing party?
We'll give the benefit of the doubt to it being opening week but really, server, host and management should try being a little more accommodating in a situation like yesterday's. I mean, is it a big problem? LOL People having part of the party leave and part of the party stay (oh and continue to spend money)? -

Alissa was an amazing server! I have celiac, so I can't eat certain foods. She was super knowledgeable! She knew all of my options and ensured none of my food was cross contaminated. All in all, the food was delicious, drinks were on point, and the view was great!

Great view and service but, food was cold. I will give this place another chance because everyone seemed to be very happy there and it's dog friendly.
